Salah: I am playing my last season at Liverpool, and I was surprised by the match
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah appeared in press statements after beating Manchester United 3-0 in the third round of the English Premier League.
He said: “We achieved a great result.” Everyone knows that the derby match is important for the fans and the city. We need to continue and if you want to fight for the league, you have to win every match.
He added: “I was able to participate. In three games, so I'm happy with that. The coach likes us to press high and there were two mistakes and we were able to exploit them - that was part of the plan.”
He continued: “With Jurgen we were always like this to get the ball high.” As much as possible. Very similar to what was the case seven years ago, the coach has his own system and we are trying to adapt to it.”
He stressed: “I had a good summer, a long time to stay with myself.” And thinking a little positive, this is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it, I feel free to play football - we will see what happens next year.”
And he continued: “It was an easy match, I was a little surprised. The match could have ended with five or six in our favor.”
He noted: “The new coach comes with his own style and wants everyone to adapt. He held several meetings with the major groups, saying that “I need to set an example for the younger players.”
He concluded: “To be fair, I was coming into the match that might be my last time at Old Trafford. He didn’t speak. I have someone at the club with me about renewing my contract. It is not up to me, but to the club.”
