Al-Ahly is committed to keeping Firmino in its ranks
The management officials of Al-Ahly Jeddah Club, headed by Dr. Khaled Al-Issa, responded to the offer of its counterpart in Al-Taawoun Club, regarding the contract with Brazilian Roberto Firmino, the team’s striker, during the current summer transfer period.
The Al-Taawoun Club management sent an official letter to Al-Ahly last week to obtain Firmino’s services this season on loan for one year.
Al-Ahly management rejected the offer submitted by Al-Taawoun to include the Brazilian striker, and insisted on continuing it during the coming period, after consulting with the technical staff led by Matthias Jaesle.
Al-Ahly management stuck to the player, despite contracting with Englishman Ivan Toney, coming from Brentford in his country, with a contract extending to 2028, according to Al-Riyadiah newspaper, today, Sunday.
