Montazer Majed is wanted in Al-Ahly
Al-Ahly club officials began thinking about signing a talented Iraqi player during the current summer transfer period, in order to strengthen the team's ranks in preparation for the new season.
Egyptian sources reported that one of the scouts had nominated the Iraqi Muntadhar Majed, the Swedish Hammarby player, to move to the ranks of Al-Ahly, this summer, and to register him as one of the under-age players on the Red Giants list.
Reports indicated that Al-Ahly officials want to borrow an underage foreign player in order to strengthen the winger position.
The Egyptian Football Association regulations allow each team to register a maximum of 5 foreign players, and 3 under-age professionals.
Muntazer Majid, born in 2005, is good at playing on the right wing. He represented the Swedish national team in its early days before settling on wearing the Iraqi shirt.
