Mido's comment on the Egyptian national team list

Former Zamalek star Ahmed Hossam Mido spoke about the choices of Egypt national team coach Hossam Hassan for the Pharaohs’ roster for the Cape Verde and Botswana qualifying matches. For the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

Mido said on the “X” platform: “Hossam Hassan’s choices are logical, except for the mystery of not including Omar Gaber, who had one of his best seasons with Zamalek.”

Mido added: “By the way, if Sobhi Selim had been there, he would have joined instead of Hamza Alaa, and Hossam Abdel Majeed should have joined the national team.”

He continued: “Once again I assure the Zamalek players that winning championships is your only guarantee and your only chance to join the national team and not just represent a great club like Zamalek.”

He concluded: “Embarrass the national team’s coach by winning championships and not fake championships on social media!!.”
