Gomez confirms his approval of Zizou's departure from Zamalek

Zamalek coach Jose Gomez revealed his position on the departure of playmaker Ahmed Sayed Zizo from the team during the current summer transfer period.

Zamalek officials received two offers from Al-Arabi. Qatari club and Saudi club Neum in recent days, to obtain Zizou’s services.

Gomez said in a press interview that he does not mind the move of Zizou leaving Zamalek in the summer period.

He stated: “I agree with Zizou’s departure from the team, if that is in the interest of all parties.”

Gomez added: “Forcing Zizou to stay with the Zamalek team will not be beneficial to us from the technical side, because he will lose his passion for playing.”

He continued: “If Gomez leaves Zamalek, an appropriate alternative must be provided to replace him, as he is a professional and committed player and the first to attend training.”
