Blanes: Our current situation is excellent and there is a noticeable improvement

Ramon Blanes, the sports director at Ittihad Jeddah Club, was keen to send an important message to Al-Ameed fans regarding the team’s preparations for the new season.

Blanes said in press statements: “There is a challenge coming for us to regain the league championship title next season. I have accepted the challenge. Al-Ittihad fans, you must believe in our work, because I believe this season could be great.”

He added: “We studied the mistakes of last season. Our current situation is excellent and there is a noticeable improvement. We are confident in the group led by Karim Benzema and we will fight for everything.”

He continued: “Reaching Al-Ittihad is a big and long project, and the Saudi League’s project is to be one of the best major leagues in the world.”

When asked if it was possible to see a player like Lamine Yamal in Al-Ittihad, he replied: “Yes, definitely, one of the young players I summoned to the foreign camp impresses me very much.”
