Kimmich receives a firm message from Bayern Munich
Max Eberl, Bayern Munich's sporting director, said that German star Joshua Kimmich will have to fight for a starting position if he continues with the Bavarian team.
Kimmich's contract expires at the end of next season.
Eberle said in his speech: "Joshua is a very good player, but football is a competitive sport. We cannot say to any player ': Hello, you are the one who will play as a starter, and this applies to everyone.”
He added: "We have distinguished players in all positions and therefore there are many substitutes. There is no doubt that Joshua has many advantages for Bayern, but all players in the team must accept the fight in order to reserve a place in the starting lineup.”
He concluded “Kimmich’s future? We agreed to talk together after the end of his vacation.”
