Former French star Thierry Henry expressed his anger and deep dissatisfaction with the racist attack that occurred in the areas of Trappes and La Verrière in the French department of Yvelines. He made these comments during his appearance on CBS Sports on Tuesday evening, as part of the coverage of UEFA Champions League matches.

Thierry Henry has decided to step away from sports analysis to discuss the incident that occurred on October 23, resulting in one death and seven injuries, including a 12-year-old girl, in an event that has shocked France.

Henry, who appeared deeply affected, said: "I am Black, I am French, I am a father. It could have been my brother, it could have been my daughter. So this has to stop."

He added: "At some point, all of this has to stop. A person goes out into the street and is simply killed. Do we always have to prove that we are French? We are French, and that will never change no matter what happens."

The French star paid tribute to the victims of the attack and their families, specifically to the family of Bingo Bossio and Angy, a 26-year-old mixed martial arts fighter who was killed in the attack because of his skin color, according to Henry.

He said: "I just want to pay my respects and express my condolences to the families of the victims, and certainly to the family of Bingo, who lost their son just because he was black. I wanted to offer some support to all the people who suffered from this incident. And as I said, I will repeat it: enough."

Thierry Henry's comments received a warm response from his studio colleagues, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards, who applauded him in appreciation of his words and humanitarian stance.
