Goalkeeper Jesús Ouno of Andorra is experiencing a difficult emotional state following the death of Jesús de Miguel, Tenerife striker, due to a serious injury sustained in a direct collision between the two during their match on Monday, in the Spanish Segunda División.

Spanish newspaper 'AS' revealed that Ouno was visibly affected after the match, seen crying and praying. He also heard angry chants from some Tenerife fans, who directed phrases like "killer" at him, before facing a wave of messages and attacks on social media, prompting him to close his Instagram account.

Spanish radio station "Cope", citing journalist Iván Álvarez, reported that the goalkeeper is deeply affected by the tragedy. It noted that Andorra FC confirms there was no intention to harm the player during the challenge, although it acknowledged that the goalkeeper's exit from his goal came at an inappropriate time and ended in a tragic manner.

Reports added that Ounou was closely following the health developments of Miguel through the club officials and medical staff. He also wished to communicate personally with the player's family or someone close to him to offer his apologies privately when the time was right, before making any public statements regarding the incident.

Diego Miguel had suffered a violent collision with Ouno during stoppage time of the match between Tenerife and Andorra, which caused him to experience a cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated and taken to hospital, where his health deteriorated, leading to his passing on Tuesday morning at the age of 30.
