Barcelona considering signing Real Betis defender in January

Barcelona are considering signing Brazilian Natan, a defender for Real Betis, during the January 2027 transfer window, as part of the sporting management's efforts to strengthen the team's backline under German coach Hans Flick.

According to reports, Natan has returned to Barcelona's list of options as the club seeks to strengthen their centre-back position, with Flick impressed by the Brazilian defender's technical and physical abilities, as well as his capacity to handle the demands of playing in LaLiga.

Reports indicate that Natan is open to the idea of moving to Barcelona, as he wishes to continue his career in Spain, which could facilitate negotiations if the Catalan club officially moves to secure the deal during the upcoming winter transfer window.

In contrast, Barcelona will not have an easy task, as Natan is under contract with Real Betis until June 2030, and he is considered an important player in the Andalusian team's lineup, giving his club a strong negotiating position ahead of the winter transfer window.

The financial compensation remains the decisive factor in the future of the deal, as circulating information suggests that Real Betis may agree to consider the departure of their defender if a suitable offer arrives. Meanwhile, it is reported that the club is asking for around €50 million to part with his services, which may force Barcelona to evaluate their financial capacity before taking an official step.
