Liverpool's coach Andoni Iraola appeared at a press conference to discuss Sunday's match against Brighton in the eighth round of the Premier League at Anfield.

Andoni Iraola stated that Víctor Muñoz's participation remains in doubt, noting that the player is experiencing "some pain" after the injury he sustained during the match against Brentford last week. Meanwhile, Dominik Szoboszlai continues to be absent from the team, although he is getting closer to returning to full training. The coach confirmed that Parkula is ready.

Liverpool's manager spoke about his desire to achieve his first win in the Premier League at Anfield, stating: "I want to win matches. Whether at home or away, we need to collect points wherever we can. It is true that we have not won in our three matches, but we have shown strong performances in our other three matches in different competitions against Atlético, Villarreal, and Tottenham, and we also secured a good win at home."

He added: "We will play the next two matches in the Premier League at home, and I hope to win them, but if we were playing away, I would say the same thing."

Iraola discussed the impact of Luis Comas, Rio Ngumoha, and Trey Nyoni's performances after they received opportunities with the first team: "I think they support each other. It was noticeable from the beginning, even during the pre-season, as well as with the players who participated in the matches."

He continued: "After they performed well in the last match, it was clear that they were exchanging praise among themselves. When they see one of them getting a chance to start in the UEFA Champions League or the Premier League, while the other is not participating, he feels that he is close to reaching the same place. This will be beneficial for them, as well as for the players in the second team who are watching them and have played with them before."

Regarding the reactions surrounding the recent performances of Rio Ngumoha: "I think every player needs to focus on their performance, continue delivering good levels, and work on improving the aspects they can develop. It's clear that external noise, whether positive or negative, affects players, but we must not allow these things to influence us."

He concluded his statements by saying: "Continue to perform your work in the best possible way, develop the things you can improve, and do not be affected by what you hear from others."
