Al Qadisiyah lead the table with 25 points, one point ahead of Al Hilal, who have a game in hand. This makes victory a crucial objective for both teams; Al Hilal aims to reclaim first place, while Al Qadisiyah seeks to solidify their lead without waiting for the result of their rival's postponed match.

The importance of the clash goes beyond the two teams, as Al Nassr, in third place with 22 points, and Al Ittihad, in fourth with 20 points, along with Al Ahly, in fifth with 18 points, are awaiting the result of the summit, given the close competition for the top positions, with the trio having one game less than Al Qadsiah.

The match marks the 21st encounter between the two teams in the history of the Saudi Pro League. Statistics indicate Al Hilal's dominance with 14 victories, compared to just one win for Al Qadisiyah, while five matches have ended in a draw, according to their head-to-head record.

The two teams drew 2-2 in both legs last season, marking the first time in their history that they have done so in the Saudi Pro League.

If Friday's clash ends in a draw again, it will be the first time the two teams have drawn three consecutive times in the competition.

After a run of 16 matches without a win against Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, Al Qadsiah broke the curse on January 27, 2025, winning 2-1.

Al Hilal's last victory against Al Qadsiah on their home ground was on December 21, 2020, with a score of 3-1, during a season that saw Al Qadsiah relegated to the first division.

After Al Qadisiyah's return to the Saudi Pro League in the 2024-2025 season, the two teams met twice in Dammam; Al Qadisiyah won one of the matches, while the other ended in a draw.

These results add a new historical dimension to the upcoming clash, alongside their direct impact on the Saudi Pro League title race.

Fans of the Saudi Pro League are eagerly awaiting the clash between Al Qadisiyah and Al Hilal on Friday evening at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, in a showdown that could reshape the competition for the top spot as the season approaches more critical stages.
