Juan García shines for Barcelona despite defeat to Paris Saint-Germain

Juan García put in a standout performance for FC Barcelona against Paris Saint-Germain, despite his team's 4-2 defeat in the UEFA Champions League, as he saved several dangerous chances and kept the Catalan side's hopes alive until the final minutes.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" highlighted the goalkeeper's brilliance, noting that Paris Saint-Germain had 22 shots during the match, 15 of which were on target, but Juan García managed to save 10 attempts, while Pedri cleared another ball.

The goalkeeper shone early by saving a shot from Ousmane Dembélé after five minutes, then he cleared an attempt from Désiré Doué two minutes later. He also saved a close-range shot from his former teammate Ferran Torres and excelled against several other attempts from Ferran, Fabián Ruiz, and Achraf Hakimi, before dealing with a shot from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia just before the end of the first half.

Despite his multiple saves, Juan García could not prevent four goals, as Désiré Doué, Lucas Hernández, Vitinha, and Fabián Ruiz scored for the French team. Lucas's goal came from a header after he outjumped Anthony Gordon, while Vitinha scored with a powerful shot from outside the box, before Fabián Ruiz capped off the four-goal haul, taking advantage of a pass from Achraf Hakimi.

The Spanish newspaper reported that Juan García was one of FC Barcelona's standout players in the match, alongside Xavi Espart, as he contributed with his interventions to keep the team in the contest until the final minutes, leaving the Parc des Princes despite the defeat with a performance worthy of praise.
