The Portuguese Football Federation's disciplinary investigation committee has decided to suspend Cristiano Ronaldo for 30 days from representing Portugal, along with imposing a fine of €255, following the conclusion of the investigation into the disciplinary case opened against the national team captain.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", the decision came after Cristiano Ronaldo left the Portugal national team camp on his own during the international break, an incident that the internal regulations of the Portuguese Football Federation considered a violation warranting disciplinary action.

Under the decision, the star of Al Nassr will not be able to participate with the Portugal national team during the international break in November, while his position regarding a return to the national team for the upcoming competitions remains uncertain, pending developments in his relationship with coach Jorge Jesus.

Cristiano Ronaldo has clarified his position on the incident through a message to the national team coach, in which he expressed his readiness to accept any disciplinary punishment. Meanwhile, it is expected that Jesus will play an important role in determining the possibility of the Portugal captain's return to the national team squad in the future.

Pedro Proença, the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, is working to resolve the crisis and bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to the national team, confirming that there is a strong desire within the federation to reinstate the team captain as soon as possible.

Bruno Príncipe stated during an event in the city of FC Porto that the federation is handling the situation calmly, pointing out that the desire for Cristiano Ronaldo's return exists within the federation and the coaching staff. The coach also confirmed that the national team will rely on their captain as long as he is able to play.

Cristiano Ronaldo's return to the national team depends on the developments of the disciplinary situation and his relationship with the coaching staff, at a time when Portugal are looking to maintain team stability ahead of their upcoming commitments in the UEFA Nations League.

Portugal are set to play against Denmark and Wales in the UEFA Nations League next November.
