AS Roma have received another blow as their Argentine star Paulo Dybala is set to be sidelined for an additional two weeks, according to coach Gian Piero Gasperini, as the player's recovery is delayed beyond the expected timeframe.

Gasperini explained during the press conference ahead of the match against Slovan Bratislava in the UEFA Champions League that the latest medical tests Dybala underwent revealed a minor injury to his calf muscle, which necessitates extending his absence.

AS Roma coach said: "We were hoping that Dybala's recovery would be quicker, but the MRI he underwent yesterday showed a minor injury, and therefore he will need an additional two weeks to recover."

As a result, Paulo Dybala will miss the match against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League, and he is also expected to be absent from matches against SSC Napoli, Cagliari, and Udinese in Serie A, with his return to be determined by his response to treatment and the progress of his physical condition.
