Crisis threatens Achraf Bencharki's contract renewal with Al Ahly FC

Saeed Zaher has revealed a crisis threatening the renewal of Moroccan Achraf Bencharki's contract with Al Ahly FC.

Seyf Zahir, during his television statements, said that Al Ahly FC will move to open discussions regarding Achraf Bencharki's contract renewal after resolving the situation with Mohamed Hani, in order to assess the Moroccan player's position and the possibility of his continued presence with the team in the upcoming period.

Al Ahly FC has established a salary cap for foreign players that ranges between $900,000 and $1,100,000 annually, which is the maximum limit set by the club in this regard. It was noted that Achraf Bencharki receives a financial compensation that exceeds this value.

Seyf Zahir has stated that there is a financial obstacle hindering the negotiations to renew Achraf Bencharki's contract. This gap is represented by exceeding the player's current salary over the wage cap imposed by Al Ahly FC on its foreign professionals.

He concluded his statements by confirming that Achraf Bencharki is living one of his best periods with Al Ahly FC, given the levels he is showing with the team, which makes the renewal of his contract one of the important files awaiting resolution within the Red Castle.
