Florentino Pérez settles on Mourinho's replacement

Sergio Valentín, a journalist at the Spanish radio station "Marca", has disclosed that Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, has informed those close to him that he may move to sack the Portuguese coach José Mourinho if the team's performance does not show improvement in the near future.

According to Valentin, the management of Real Madrid is considering the name of Frenchman Didier Deschamps, the former coach of the France national team, as a potential option to succeed Mourinho should a decision be made to part ways with him.

Real Madrid are experiencing a period of instability in terms of results and performance under Portuguese coach, amid questions about the team's ability to regain its level and achieve the expected goals during the current season.

Despite ongoing speculation about his future, Mourinho is tied to a contract with Real Madrid that runs until the summer of 2029, meaning any potential change in the coaching staff is linked to the club's management decision and their assessment of the team's results in the upcoming period.

Talk continues about Mourinho's potential dismissal and the appointment of Deschamps, with no official confirmation regarding the possibility of parting ways with the Portuguese manager mid-season or at the end of the current season.
