Al Ahly FC move to sign Modern top scorer in January

Reports have revealed that Sayed Abdel Hafiz, the general supervisor of the football team at Al Ahly FC, has secured the signature of Mahmoud Mamdouh, a forward from Modern, in preparation for his inclusion in the team during the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to reports, the 24-year-old player has completed his personal contract details with Al Ahly FC, while club officials are preparing to start negotiations with Modern in the coming hours, aiming to reach a final agreement regarding his transfer.

Al Ahly FC's interest in striker Mahmoud Mamdouh from Modern comes after his impressive performances this season, as he leads the scoring chart in the Egyptian League with 6 goals, along with one assist, after 6 rounds of the competition.

Mahmoud Mamdouh's name has been associated with a transfer to the red castle in recent days, as the club seeks to evaluate available options to enhance its attacking line before the opening of the winter transfer window, especially with the player's impressive form and ability to score regularly. However, the completion of the deal remains contingent on reaching a formal agreement between the two clubs.

On the competition front, Al Ahly FC are set to face Qanah FC on Wednesday, October 21, in the Egyptian League, before hosting Uganda's Kitarra on Sunday, October 25, in the second leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup, having won the first leg 2-1 in Uganda.

After facing Kitara, Al Ahly FC will meet Modern on October 29 in the Egyptian League, a match that may attract additional attention amid reports of the Red Club's interest in signing their rival's striker, should the matter progress to official negotiations.
