Raffaele Palladino, Bologna's head coach, has emphasized the difficulty of the upcoming match against Inter Milan, stressing the need for his players to exhibit the fighting spirit and determination that have characterized the team over the past years, along with the boldness and focus on the small details that could make the difference against an opponent with significant capabilities.
Paladino said in the press conference: "Inter are a very strong team and determined to win, they have great weapons and quality, and they are capable of coming back even when they are two goals down. We need to deliver the kind of game that we believe will trouble them, and tomorrow we will get new indicators regarding the development of our team."
Bologna's coach spoke about his relationship with the players, explaining that he always tries to defend them, but he does not hesitate to deal firmly when there are mistakes in situations, stressing the importance of teamwork and moving in the same direction.
The team needs time to develop physically, praising the work being done by the club.
Regarding the physical condition of some players, Paladino explained that Artem Dovbyk had suffered a long absence before facing a new muscular issue, but he has returned to training this week, urging him to remain calm while waiting for his opportunity.
The return of Ødegaard has been confirmed, and the potential of some young players has been praised. Matteo Darmian has been noted for his vast experience and ability to read the game, suggesting he could be utilized in the wing-back position.
Bologna have worked to correct the mistakes that appeared in their match against Lecce, particularly the haste in vertical play. They are determined to deliver a better performance against Inter, despite the absence of Riccardo Orsolini, whose absence is a blow to the team ahead of the anticipated encounter.
