Al-Hilal has announced the release of a special kit for its fans to celebrate its founding anniversary on October 16, 1957, as part of the club's celebration of its history that spans over six decades.

The story of Al-Hilal begins in Riyadh, when it was established by Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Saeed, one of the most prominent pioneers of the Saudi sports movement, under the name 'Olympic' on October 16, 1957.

The following year, a proposal was made to change the club's name, and King Saud chose the name 'Al-Hilal' from three suggested names. The name was officially adopted on December 13, 1957, making it the first Saudi club to carry a name by royal decree.

The club adopted blue and white colors to distinguish itself from other teams, and Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Saeed took charge of its affairs in its early years, until the formation of the first official board of directors in 1960, marking the beginning of a new phase in the history of Al-Hilal.
