Al-Hilal launches special kit for its founding anniversary

Al-Hilal has launched a special kit for its fans to celebrate its founding anniversary on October 16 each year, commemorating the start of its historic journey in 1957.

The club promoted the new kit through a video shared on its official account on 'X', featuring several of its current and former stars, including Salem Al-Dawsari and Ollie Watkins, alongside Youssef Al-Thunayan and Sami Al-Jaber.

Al-Hilal's beginnings trace back to the capital Riyadh, when it was established by Sheikh Abdul Rehman bin Saeed, one of the prominent pioneers of the Saudi sports movement, under the name 'Olympic' on October 16, 1957.

After nearly two months, the name 'Al-Hilal' was chosen for the club by a decision from King Saud on December 13, 1957, after three names were presented to him, making it the first Saudi club to carry a name chosen by royal decree.

The club adopted blue and white as its colors and was managed by Abdul Rehman bin Saeed in its early years, until the formation of its first official board of directors in 1960, marking the beginning of a new phase in its sporting journey.
