Dortmund's lack of football fundamentals raises concern after defeat to Bodo/Glimt

The German newspaper "Ruhr Nachrichten" considered that Borussia Dortmund's loss to Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt by a goal to nil in the UEFA Champions League reveals a concerning pattern in the team's performance, pointing out that the issue does not relate to the artificial pitch, but rather to what the team delivered on the field.

In a comment, journalist Cedric Gebhardt emphasized that what is concerning is Borussia Dortmund's again missing the fundamentals of football, referring to the decline in some basic aspects of the team's performance during the match.

The report added that the defeat in Norway should prompt the German team to review their performance, especially since the issue cannot be reduced to the playing conditions or the nature of the pitch.

The defeat highlights the need for Borussia Dortmund to regain their usual form and address the shortcomings displayed in the match to avoid repeating this scenario in upcoming competitions.
