Mbappé breaks Messi's historic record in UEFA Champions League
Kylian Mbappé, star of Real Madrid, has achieved a historic milestone in the UEFA Champions League, becoming the youngest player to reach 100 matches in the history of the competition, surpassing the record previously held by Argentine legend Lionel Messi, according to data from UEFA.
Kylian Mbappé has achieved this milestone at the age of 27 years and 298 days, breaking the previous record held by Lionel Messi, who reached his 100th match in the competition at the age of 28 years and 84 days during FC Barcelona's match against AS Roma in September 2015.
This achievement comes after a European journey that Mbappé began with AS Monaco, before moving to Paris Saint-Germain, and then to Real Madrid, continuing to shine on the continental stage with three different clubs.
According to UEFA statistics, Mbappé has scored 71 goals in his first 99 matches in the competition, with 6 goals for Monaco, 42 goals for Paris Saint-Germain, and 23 goals for Real Madrid.
The French star continues to make history in the continental competition, having become one of the top scorers in its history, benefiting from his speed and scoring abilities that have made him a key player for the clubs he has represented.
With this achievement, Mbappé adds a new record to his career, surpassing Messi in terms of reaching 100 matches early, marking a new milestone in his rivalry with the top stars of European football.
