Medical examinations that Nawaf Al-Aqidi, goalkeeper for Al-Nassr and the Saudi Arabia national team, underwent at a specialized center in London have revealed two treatment options to determine his path back to the pitch after an elbow injury.

The first course of action involves undergoing a rehabilitation program lasting four weeks. However, the treating physician warned of a 50% chance of pain returning after the treatment period.

The second option involves surgical intervention to treat the injury, with the recovery duration and the return to team training and official participation determined by the results of the surgery and the subsequent rehabilitation program.

Nawaf Al-Aqidi has traveled to Britain to finalize the diagnosis and choose the appropriate treatment plan after suffering a tear in his elbow during his participation with the Saudi Arabia national team in the Gulf Cup 27, which the Green team won.

The injury occurred in the 78th minute of the match between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, which ended with the Green Falcons winning 1-0 in their opening game of the tournament. The goalkeeper fell while attempting to clear a cross from a free kick, leading him to leave the national team camp and miss the remainder of the competition.
