Liverpool eye Kalulu and Wesley to strengthen defence
Liverpool are looking to strengthen their right-back position during the upcoming summer transfer window, with Pierre Kalulu of Juventus and Wesley of AS Roma on the club's radar.
CaughtOffside has reported that Liverpool are searching for more reliable options in defense due to Jeremy Frimpong's struggles and the continued absence of Conor Bradley because of a knee injury.
According to "Tutto Mercato Web", Pierre Kalulu, aged 26, is one of the top candidates due to his ability to play as a right-back and centre-back, but Juventus do not wish to part with him, especially as he is under contract until 2029.
Liverpool are monitoring Wesley, 23, after the club's scouts tracked the Brazilian during recent Serie A matches.
Wesley represents a younger and more attack-minded option, while Pierre Kalulu provides the team with experience and tactical flexibility as Liverpool seeks to achieve a better balance between defensive and offensive roles on the right side.
The report suggests that Pierre Kalulu could be a suitable option to strengthen the team, but the deal will remain linked to Juventus's position, while Liverpool are continuing to evaluate their options in preparation for next season.
