Fabregas before Feyenoord clash: We are living a dream that must become a reality
Cesc Fàbregas, the manager of Como, spoke about the upcoming match against Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League, confirming that his team continues to develop and that participating in the continental tournament represents a dream that the club is striving to turn into a lasting reality.
Cesc Fàbregas spoke about the upcoming match: "Feyenoord are a strong team, and we have watched many of their matches. They play good football, and they have players I admire. They are a team that imposes their control, and this match will be a great opportunity for us to measure our level against a team of a different standard, and it is also an important test for us."
Regarding participation in the UEFA Champions League, the Spanish coach explained: "This is the first time we are competing in the tournament, and many of our players experienced their first match against Leipzig. What we are living together is a dream that must gradually turn into reality. We are at the beginning of the road, and I want to give all the players a chance to participate because they deserve it."
Cesc Fàbregas has defended Nico Paz, who has faced criticism for his declining goal contributions, stating: "He is always evaluated based on goals and assists, but he created the most dangerous chances against AS Roma. He is an important and talented player, and he is still at the beginning of his professional career. I am not worried about him, as he has the desire to develop and learn."
Fabregas added that he looks forward to continuing his development journey with Como, noting that the team is still at the beginning of its path, and that the most important thing for him is to maintain gradual progress, while being aware of the difficulty of European competition and the importance of gaining experience in such encounters.
