FK Sabah from Azerbaijan secured a historic 2-0 victory against Czech side Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League, with Jamaican Kaime Paris shining in attack. The team capitalized on counter-attacks to clinch the match.

Slavia Prague had 55% possession and took 18 shots, with 8 on target, but they could not translate their superiority into goals, thanks to the solid defensive organization of Saba FK and the impressive performance of their goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov in thwarting the Czech side's attempts.

Kaim Paris opened the scoring for Sabah FK in the 49th minute, taking advantage of the spaces in Slavia Prague's defense and firing a powerful shot into the net to give the home side the lead.

The player threatened the Czech team's goal in the first half before a goal was disallowed for offside, leaving the pitch in the 73rd minute after a standout attacking performance.

In the 88th minute, Joy-Lance Mickels added the second goal, benefiting from a quick counter-attack, to confirm the victory for the Azerbaijani team and earn three valuable points in the second round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League for the 2026-2027 season.

This victory gives FK Dnipro a significant boost in their continental campaign, having lost their opening match against Manchester United by four goals to nil, while Slavia Prague suffered their second consecutive defeat after falling to Lens by a score of 2-3.
