Real Madrid accuses Tebas of orchestrating a refereeing campaign against them
Real Madrid's anger is rising over refereeing decisions after Vinicius Junior's red card against Villarreal reinforced the club's feeling of being targeted by officials, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."
The newspaper explained that Real Madrid's TV channel is defending the club's position by highlighting decisions it believes have harmed the team, comparing them to what happens in other matches, alongside continuing to discuss the Negreira case and FC Barcelona.
Accusations have extended to Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, as reports from "ABC" and "Ok Diario" suggest that officials within Real Madrid believe he is one of the parties behind the alleged refereeing campaign against the team.
"ABC" reported a statement attributed to a source within Real Madrid regarding Tebas: "He is the new Negreira, there is a hidden hand behind these refereeing decisions."
Mundo Deportivo has confirmed that the dispute between Real Madrid and the referees' technical committee and Tebas is still ongoing, with indications that it may escalate in the coming period.
