Wijnaldum sends message of solidarity to families of the deceased and injured in the attacks

Jorginho Wijnaldum, the player for Al-Ittihad, has sent a message of condolence to the families of the deceased, wishing a speedy recovery to those injured as a result of the attacks that have recently occurred in the kingdom, ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League Elite match.

Wijnaldum stated during the press conference ahead of the match against Shabab Al-Ahli that the game comes at an important time for the team, especially after the recent loss to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League classic.

The Al-Ittihad player confirmed that the team is looking to overcome the effects of the last defeat and quickly return to winning ways, emphasizing the players' desire to deliver a strong performance in the upcoming match.

Al-Ittihad will host Shabab Al-Ahli on Tuesday evening at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, as part of the second round of the Western Phase of the AFC Champions League Elite for the 2026-2027 season.
