Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw miss Manchester United training ahead of Atlético clash

Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw missed Manchester United training on Monday ahead of their Champions League clash with Atlético on Tuesday, according to the official website of the English club.

Manchester United players held an open training session for 15 minutes at Carrington ahead of their first away test in the competition this season.

In contrast, the training session saw the participation of Matthijs de Ligt, who is continuing to work towards a return to the pitch after a long absence, alongside Carlos Baleba, who played his first match for Manchester United against Tottenham on Saturday. The clash with Atlético could mark the Cameroonian's first appearance in the UEFA Champions League, should he be chosen to participate.

The squad includes several young players, including Harry Amass, Dan Armor, Jam Fletcher, and Shai Lacey, while Patryck, Noussair Mazraoui, Benjamin Šeško, and Manuel Ugarte continue to be absent from the team.
