Yasser Zabiri challenges Yamal and Mbappé among LaLiga top scorers

Moroccan Yasser Zabiri, forward for Racing Santander, has caught the spotlight in LaLiga this season after scoring 7 goals in 8 matches, matching the tally of stars Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé, in a remarkable start for the 21-year-old striker.

Zabiri scored a hat-trick in his first start for Racing Santander against Elche, before adding two goals in the match against Alavés, confirming his strong attacking presence with the team promoted to LaLiga, which has achieved two victories in the competition so far.

Zabiri is playing for Racing Santander on loan from Rennes, having joined the Spanish team during the last summer transfer window. The levels the Moroccan forward is showing may lead the Spanish club's management to negotiate with Rennes for a permanent transfer if he continues to shine throughout the season.

Despite Zabidi's brilliance, Brazilian Raphinha leads the LaLiga scoring chart by a clear margin, having scored 12 goals and provided 3 assists in 8 matches with FC Barcelona. The Catalan team continues its strong start, remaining unbeaten in all competitions, and is 5 points ahead of Atlético Madrid and Real Betis in the league standings, according to the report.
