Controversy over Al Ahly's goal scorer against Zamalek
A widespread fan controversy arose during the derby match between Al Ahly FC and Zamalek SC regarding the true identity of the scorer of the first goal for the red brigade.
Al Ahly FC are currently facing Zamalek SC at Cairo International Stadium in the 6th round of the Egyptian League.
Al Ahly FC took the lead in the 39th minute of the first half after a powerful shot from Mohamed Hany from outside the penalty area, as the ball changed direction after hitting his teammate Achraf Bencharki, which deceived the goalkeeper El Mahdi Soliman and found the back of the net.
The competitions management confirmed via the official website that Mohamed Hany, a player for Al Ahly FC, is the one who scored the first goal during the match against Zamalek SC, settling the debate surrounding the scorer in the Cairo derby.
The registration will continue temporarily until the final clarification from the match referee is issued or the official report is approved after the end of the match to resolve the controversy definitively.
