Gian Piero Gasperini, the manager of AS Roma, spoke during the press conference held today, Saturday, October 10, 2026, ahead of the match against Como in the sixth round of Serie A, revealing that goalkeeper Mile Svilar will miss the match due to injury, along with the latest updates regarding the team's readiness.

Gasperini explained that Svilar is suffering from a stress fracture in his fifth toe, which he sustained during training, noting that the injury will keep him out for at least a month, with the possibility of the recovery period extending beyond the next international break if surgery is deemed necessary to stabilize the fracture. He confirmed that Pierluigi Gollini will take his place in goal.

Regarding the team's readiness, the coach confirmed that Lorenzo Pellegrini has recovered and is ready to participate, while Bryan Cristante will miss out due to injury. Konstantinos Koulierakis will not be able to join the match due to a strong bruise he sustained with his national team, with expectations for his return to training on Monday.

Gasperini praised Como's level under Cesc Fàbregas, stating that the team deserves recognition and has the ability to compete for top positions. He also emphasized that AS Roma want to resume the season from the point where they left off, following a good performance against Inter, expressing confidence in his players' ability to deliver a strong match.

The coach discussed the upcoming fixture congestion, highlighting that the team will play nine matches in 27 days, making it essential to rely on all squad members. He confirmed that rotation will be important to maintain player readiness, and that every player in the team will get their chance to prove their ability to contribute.
