Chelsea officially announces Cole Palmer contract extension
Chelsea have officially extended Cole Palmer's contract until 2034, a move that reflects the club's commitment to the player who has established himself as one of the key attacking elements in the team since joining in August 2023.
Chelsea have confirmed on their official website that Cole Palmer contributed to 91 goals in 138 matches for the team. He also won the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Europa Conference League, along with receiving several individual awards.
Cole Palmer has had an impressive first season with Chelsea, scoring 25 goals and providing 19 assists during the 2023/2024 season. He won two Player of the Season awards, voted by Chelsea fans and selected by his teammates, and also received two Young Player of the Year awards in the Premier League from the League and the Professional Footballers' Association.
Cole Palmer continued his impressive form in the following season, scoring four goals in the first half against Brighton, and providing two assists in the UEFA Europa Conference League final against Real Betis. He also scored two goals and assisted João Pedro in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Cole Palmer contributed to 14 goals last season, including one against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League and a hat-trick against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The player has started the current season strongly, having scored four goals and provided two assists in his first seven matches for Chelsea.
Regarding his contract renewal, Palmer said in statements to the club's official website: "Chelsea means a lot to me, and I believe the club is heading in the right direction, so I am very happy to sign the contract."
He added that the owners, sporting directors, and the head coach have given him a lot of confidence, confirming his desire to continue winning major trophies and to contribute significantly to the team's success.
