Officially: Turkish Football Federation announces Montella's dismissal
The Turkish Football Federation announced today, Friday, its decision to not continue working with Vincenzo Montella, the head coach of the Turkish national team, according to an official statement published by the federation.
The decision was made during a meeting of the federation's board of directors, which discussed several administrative files, alongside making decisions related to positions within the federation, including the appointment of new members to the board and changes in the general secretariat.
The Turkish Football Federation clarified in its statement that it has decided to end its work with Montella, without disclosing the reasons for the decision or providing additional details regarding the future of the national team's coaching staff.
In this context, the federation confirmed that its board will continue its duties until the ordinary electoral general assembly. It also announced the appointment of Sardar Yildiz as Secretary General, succeeding Abdullah Ayaz, and the appointment of Ahmed Arzurumlou as Deputy Secretary General.
