Reports from Italy reveal that Icelandic player Albert Gudmundsson, on loan at SS Lazio from Fiorentina, has suffered a non-displaced fracture in his right shoulder after an injury sustained while playing for his national team against Estonia.

According to reports, further medical examinations revealed a fracture that initial assessments did not detect, after it was initially believed that the injury was limited to a dislocation of the shoulder joint.

Estimates suggest that the player could be absent for more than a month, with the possibility of his absence extending beyond the next international break in mid-November, depending on the development of his condition and response to treatment.

Albert Gudmundsson's absence is a blow to SS Lazio's plans as they will have to cope without him for several upcoming matches while awaiting updates from the medical staff regarding his return to training and the pitch.

The player's return date has not been finalized yet, with reports suggesting that surgery does not seem necessary at this time.
