Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad have ignited the competition ahead of their anticipated clash on Saturday evening at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, in the eighth round of the Saudi Pro League, in a classic that carries the stakes of the top position.

Al-Hilal enter the match at the top of the table with 18 points, while Al-Ittihad sit in second place, just one point behind. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah are watching closely to see the outcome of this clash and its impact on the title race.

Al-Ittihad face the match with an unbeaten record since the start of the season, making them the only team in the Saudi Pro League to maintain this achievement so far. Meanwhile, Al-Hilal are looking to end the streak and widen the gap at the top.

Al-Hilal relies on its attacking strength after scoring 23 goals and conceding only five, leading the list of the strongest attacks in the Saudi Pro League, ahead of Al-Nassr, Al-Qadisiyah, and Al-Ahli by a margin of seven goals. Additionally, Al-Dhariyah shares the top spot for defensive strength.

Meanwhile, Ittihad have scored 12 goals, nearly half of Al-Hilal's tally, but they compensate for the attacking gap with clear defensive solidity, having conceded only six goals since the start of the current season.

The upcoming match marks the 37th encounter between the two teams in the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal holding the advantage having achieved 18 victories compared to seven for Al-Ittihad, while 11 matches have ended in a draw, including the last encounter in the second round of last season at Kingdom Arena.
