Jacquet returns to Liverpool training ahead of Manchester City clash
French defender Jérémy Jacquet has returned to Liverpool's training sessions today, Thursday, in preparation for the anticipated match against Manchester City, scheduled for Sunday in the Premier League.
Jérémy Jacquet has participated in team training both in the gym and on the pitch, after missing out on the France national team during the recent international break due to left hamstring fatigue.
In contrast, forwards Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo did not appear among the players who participated in today's training, increasing the uncertainty about their possibility of being fit for the match against Manchester City.
Isaac has returned from the Sweden camp due to a thigh issue, while Gakpo left the Netherlands camp after suffering an ankle injury. Liverpool are awaiting further medical assessments before deciding on the duo's situation.
Andoni Iraola is set to provide a comprehensive update on the injured players during his press conference tomorrow, Friday, ahead of Liverpool hosting Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.
