Nico González turns the tide at Juventus and nears contract renewal

Nico González is close to renewing his contract with Juventus after successfully changing the club's stance on him in recent weeks, following a period of uncertainty regarding his future with the team.

Gonzalez was a candidate to leave Juventus during the summer transfer window, after returning from his loan at Atlético Madrid, but the player managed to convince everyone with his performances. He also gained the trust of coach Luciano Spalletti, who is keen to keep him as part of the team's project.

Gonzalez's performances at the start of the season, along with his goal against Parma, have strengthened Juventus's belief in his importance, leading them to extend his contract, which currently runs until June 2029, while improving his salary of around €3.6 million per year.

Gonzalez's contract renewal is expected to be announced in the coming days, after Juventus and the player's representatives reached a full understanding regarding the continuation of their relationship. The player returns to Torino on Saturday after participating with the Argentina national team in a farewell match for Lionel Messi, to be under Spalletti's watch once again.
