After national team crisis.. Ronaldo under the spotlight in Al Diriyah match
Attention turned to Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the match between Al Nassr and Al Daraiyah, scheduled for Friday evening in the eighth round of the Roshn League, following his recent issue with Jorge Jesus, the Portugal national team coach.
Al Nassr captain left his national team's camp early following a disagreement with Jesus, before heading to the Spanish capital Madrid. He then returned to Al Riyadh to join his team's training in preparation for local competitions.
Cristiano Ronaldo revealed, in a statement published by the media, details about what happened inside the Portugal camp, explaining that the reason for his departure was his feeling that the coach did not adhere to what had been agreed upon between them.
The captain of the Portugal national team emphasized his intention not to retire from international play, confirming his availability for the national team starting from the upcoming break in November, provided he is physically fit and any potential suspension has ended.
Ang Postecoglou, the manager of Al Nassr, confirmed Ronaldo's readiness to participate against Al Diriyah, putting to rest any doubts about the captain's status ahead of the upcoming match.
