Tottenham target RCD Espanyol Barcelona striker to boost attack

Tottenham have intensified their efforts to sign Roberto Fernández, the RCD Espanyol Barcelona forward, after he impressed with his team and received his first call-up to the Spain national team.

TEAMtalk reports that Tottenham have requested to search for a new striker for manager Roberto Fernández, with the player becoming one of the club's top targets after monitoring his level over the past few months.

The 24-year-old player has scored six goals in his first seven matches this season, after netting seven goals last season. He also made his debut for Spain during the recent international break against the Czech Republic.

Sources in the transfer market see that Roberto Fernández has the right attributes for the Premier League, thanks to his physical strength, direct runs, and ability to play as a central striker, while he is also being watched by Chelsea and Brighton.

Tottenham are looking for a new central striker despite signing Omar Marmoush, as Dominic Solanke struggles. Meanwhile, De Zerbi believes that Fernández is capable of leading the front line and providing the necessary attacking threat.
