France turn the tables on Belgium in UEFA Nations League
France secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Belgium in their UEFA Nations League clash on Monday evening at the Stade de France.
The match started shockingly for the hosts, as Dodi Lukébakio managed to give Belgium the lead in the 35th minute, taking advantage of a quick counter-attack to put the French national team under significant pressure before the end of the first half.
However, the France national team appeared in a completely different light in the second half, managing to turn the score around in a very short period of time, after Désiré Doué equalised in the 77th minute with a powerful shot.
France did not wait long to complete the comeback, as Rayan Cherki succeeded in scoring the second goal in the 81st minute, benefiting from a brilliant assist from substitute Michael Olise.
Michael Olise starred in the final minutes, scoring France's third goal in the 88th minute before adding his second in stoppage time.
France solidified their position at the top of Group A with 10 points, edging closer to qualification for the quarter-finals, while Belgium remains on 6 points in third place.
