All eyes will be on King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah tomorrow, Tuesday, for the final of the Gulf Cup 27 between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, amid a new race for the championship throne.

Kuwait tops the list of winners of the Gulf Cup with a total of 10 titles, achieved in the years 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1996, 1998, and 2010.

Iraq comes second with four titles, won in the years 1979, 1984, 1988, and 2023, while both Saudi Arabia and Qatar have three titles each, in a rich historical record.

The Saudi national team won the championship in 1994, 2002, and 2003, while Qatar claimed it in 1992, 2004, and 2014. The 'Green' is looking for its fourth title against the United Arab Emirates.

The United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Bahrain each hold two titles; the United Arab Emirates in 2007 and 2013, Oman in 2009 and 2017, and Bahrain in 2019 and 2024, ahead of the final of Al Khaleej 27.
