Mendes: We are a united group, and we will welcome Ronaldo with open arms

Nuno Mendes, a player for the Portuguese national team, has said that Cristiano Ronaldo will always be welcome within the squad, emphasizing that the current group enjoys unity, following their victory over Norway 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League.

Nuno Mendes has said regarding the Cristiano Ronaldo crisis: "There are no doubts. We are a united group, whether Cristiano or any other player who is not here, will always be welcomed with open arms."

Regarding the four victories with coach Jorge Mendes: "Yes, especially with a new coach and new ideas. Working this way in a short time always becomes more difficult, but it has been good."

He continued about his feelings of fatigue after playing four matches: "Yes, they were very tough matches against opponents with great physical strength, but I am here to represent the national team, and if the coach wants me to play 90 minutes, I am ready. I feel happy that I finished these four matches well, but of course, I would have preferred to get some rest."

He concluded about João Cancelo's goal: "No, we didn't train for this play, but my teammates know I can send the ball a long way. I saw Félix alone at the edge of the penalty area, and fortunately, Cancelo appeared to score a wonderful goal."
