Wirtz: We created a lot of pressure but didn't score, and not winning doesn't mean everything is bad
Florian Wirtz, the captain of the Germany national team, confirmed that his team put in a good performance against Greece, despite the match ending in a goalless draw. He pointed out that not achieving victory does not mean that everything has turned negative.
Florian Wirtz stated in his remarks following the 0-0 draw against Greece in the UEFA Nations League: "We created a lot of pressure, but we couldn't score a goal, and that is frustrating."
Germany's captain added: "Overall, we can be satisfied with the way we played, as there were many positive aspects."
Wirtz continued: "We must not forget that we have only been together for a week."
He concluded his statements by saying: "We wanted to win badly, but not achieving it doesn't mean that everything is bad now."
