Shobeir stated in television remarks: "Mohamed Abdelnasser, a player for El Mokawloon SC, is transferring to Al Ahly FC in January, and Al Ahly will pay the first installment of £12.5 million within 7 to 10 days."

He added: "The player was very close to moving to Pyramids FC, but as soon as Al Ahly FC made an offer to sign him, he was very welcoming to the idea of moving to the Red Castle."
