Mancini: Inácio will be an important player for the Italian national team
Roberto Mancini, the head coach of the Italian national team, spoke about the Azzurri's preparations for the match against France, confirming that he does not have many doubts about the starting lineup, but he will finalize his choices after the last assessment before the match.
Mancini said: "I don't have many doubts about the lineup, but we will evaluate tomorrow. We always try to win, that is our mentality."
He also spoke about one of the players who is suffering from ongoing health issues, explaining: "He is resting because he is experiencing ongoing health problems, and despite his limited playing time at Como, he possesses exceptional physical qualities and is important for us, and his condition will be reassessed tomorrow."
The Italian coach praised the young group, stating: "The young players are all similar, and they all behave correctly, like professional footballers."
He also touched on the situation of the Italian Football Federation, emphasizing the importance of stability: "When you work, you need stability and calm, and that is the case here. I spoke today with Malagò and he was calm, he just wanted to know how the match was going."
Speaking about Kayode, Mancini said: "He is a physically strong player, capable of both defending and attacking. At the club, we asked him to attack a lot, and he did that brilliantly, scoring in his first match. We couldn't have hoped for a better start, and he needs to continue on this path because he is still very young."
Regarding the decision to exclude Samuele Ignacio from the match against France, Mancini clarified: "He is young and needs to progress; he is only 18 years old. It takes some time, and he needs to start training with us and gain experience. He is currently at Borussia Dortmund, but he has played very few matches. We know his qualities and he will be important for the national team, but we must give him time."
