Hossam Abdel-Rabou: Marwan Ateya's absence shows his impact within the team

Former Egyptian football star Hosny Abd Rabeh praised the noticeable leap in the performance of Al Ahly FC midfielder Marwan Ateya recently. The retired Ismaily SC player explained that the true value of a player becomes clear when they are absent from the starting lineup, as the team's cohesion is affected by their absence.

Hossni Abd Rabeh highlighted the significant impact of Marwan Ateya on his team during his appearance on the "Mal'ab On" program, explaining that his absence leaves a noticeable gap. Abd Rabeh added that the midfielder has notably developed his abilities; his performance in the early days with Ittihad Alexandria SC relied excessively on lateral and backward passing, before his style changed to become more effective.

He continued his speech praising the positive transformation in the style of the Al Ahly FC player, explaining: "We now see him delivering decisive forward passes that put the strikers in complete one-on-one situations with the goal, using the inside of his foot with high precision, which is a significant development attributed to the player and confirms his hard work on improving his skills."

Al Ahly FC and Zamalek SC are preparing for another clash in the Egyptian Premier League, as the two teams meet in the sixth round of the competition. The match will take place on Sunday, October 11.
