After being accused of assault, Ivan Toney pleads not guilty in London court
Englishman Ivan Toney, Al Ahly FC's striker, has pleaded not guilty to the charge of assaulting a man inside a nightclub in Soho, London, during a session at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
Ivan Toney, aged 30, has been charged with assaulting Saber Da Silva inside the nightclub '100 Wardour Street' in December 2025, according to what was presented in court.
According to details from the session, Toney is suspected of headbutting and punching Da Silva during an altercation that took place between the two inside a nightclub in the British capital.
Al Ahly FC striker appeared in court, where he confirmed his personal details and then denied the charge, before being released on bail and having a new hearing scheduled for October 29 at Southwark Court.
A spokesperson for the player said: "Ivan, while feeling shocked of course, is looking forward to the opportunity to clear his name in court." Toney joined Al Ahly FC in 2024 and has represented England in 10 matches.
