Al Ahli Benghazi intermediary reveals surprise regarding Ahmed Fatouh
Tarik Ramadan, the intermediary in the deal for Ahmed Fatouh's transfer to Ahli Benghazi, has clarified the recent negotiations between the two clubs. He indicated that the left-back of Zamalek SC expressed complete approval and enthusiasm for embarking on a professional experience in the Libyan Premier League during the current transfer window.
Tarik Ramadan stated in his comments on the "Modern Sports" program that negotiations began with a feeler regarding the possibility of Ahmed Fatouh's departure, explaining that there was initially a tendency within Zamalek SC to agree to sell the player.
He added: "There was a pulse check regarding Ahmed Fatouh, and there was indeed an intention from Zamalek SC to sell him. Based on that, we sent an official offer of $500,000, and then I was surprised by Zamalek SC's desire to get $600,000 and then $700,000."
The Libyan club's agent revealed that verbal communications preceded the official letter submitted on September 26. He added that he received initial promises that the management of Zamalek SC would discuss the offer in their meeting, amid strong indications that were leaning towards accepting the deal.
He continued: "The verbal discussions took place before the official offer was sent on September 26, and I was informed that the offer would be discussed within the board of directors, and there was a tendency to approve it, but then I was informed that there was no intention for him to leave at the moment."
He stated that Fatouh was willing to waive part of his financial entitlements, in addition to paying part of his contract value with the Libyan Premier League club, in order to facilitate his departure from Zamalek SC during the current period.
Ahmed Fatouh has welcomed the Libyan offer, prompting him to submit an official proposal to Zamalek SC to explore the possibility of completing the transfer.
